Nu-lok Roofing Systems is used in various climates around the world, this system uses a lightweight galvanized steel batten and link channel installation system. This allows broken or damaged slate to be replaced in minutes, without noticeable evidence. This minimizes labor, materials and maintenance costs and is an unbeatable long-term investment in your property. This batten and link channel fastening system will support either natural slate or nu-lok’s ceramic slate. No need to go with artificial slates anymore.

- Minimum roof pitch recommended is 4/12
- Can be laid on roofs with rafters spaced to 3 ft. (without plywood) subject to local authority approval
- Ceramic slate weight with nu-lok weighs 5.6 lbs. Per sq.
- Natural Vermont slate weight with nu-lok weighs between 5-6 lbs. (Depending on slate selected)

- Batten: this is the main batten that is used throughout the systems. It runs horizontally and supports the Link Channel.
- Link Channel: The Link Channels sit under each tile joint and conduct any water seepage between tiles to the tile below making a horizontal overlap unnecessary.
- Wire Clip: Locks into Link Channel and holds the tile in place.

Warranty
Once a roof has been installed, and after it has been, first, accepted by the property owner and their architect if applicable, and second, certified as correctly installed by a licensed roofing contractor approved by nu-lok USA, then a certificate of 50-year warranty is issued by Nu-Lok Roofing Systems.
A two-year warranty is provided by nu-lok USA as part of the sales contract for each order. This is intended to provided protection for problems that might occur from the date of purchase, through shipment, while waiting on site for installation and up through installation acceptance.
